- Identify revenue improvement opportunities in organizational mergers and joint ventures.
- Conduct independent third party reviews of provider mergers, acquisitions and affiliations and payment contracts between providers and payors.
- Support Accountable Care Organization development including system implementation, clinical service line development, benchmarking provider productivity, revenue and compensation for developing revenue and funds flow arrangements.
- Model and analyze managed care contract proposals, including quality based incentive provisions for both provider and payor organizations.
- Reduce cost and increase revenues by measuring the capacity utilization of hospital operating rooms, inpatient units, outpatient clinics and emergency departments.
- Analyze clinical variability and collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to develop clinical practice guidelines and clinical protocols.
- Develop and model new lines of business for physician and hospital organizations.
- Ensure that provider organizations cash collections match levels negotiated with third party payors.
- Define metrics, benchmarks and management dashboards for providers to ensure effective collections and revenue cycle operations.
- Design and implement incentive based physician compensation models for primary care and specialty practices. .
- Develop and implement data warehouses for clinical, operational and financial analysis and operations improvement efforts.
